Mr. Du Jun, Chairman of Fengze Enterprises Group had a meeting with H.E Nguon Meng Tech, Director General of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce on April 19, 2012. Mr. Jun expressed his interest in real estate in Cambodia. He is seeking for CCC information on Cambodia market and business opportunity. Besides real estate, his company also would like to know potentials in agriculture and mine.

H.E Nguon Meng Tech said the real estate is one of the fast growing sectors in Cambodia. He suggests Fengze Group to do a feasibility study and have capital ready of at least 75% of total investment so that the project would not experience stoppage like other big projects during financial crisis. License application is based on capital investment. If it is less than $2 million, it can be obtained at local authority. If it is in a range of $2 to $50 million, the application is with CDC. For any investment that is larger than $50 million, it needs to be approved by the Prime Minister. In case of agriculture and mine, the company can apply for land concession from the government. They can apply through the embassy. Agriculture is prioritized by the government, in particular rice export. By 2015 the government would like to see a million ton rice export.
