On 22 August 2011, Neak Oknha Kith Meng, the President of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with H.E Carol Rodley, the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia. This MOU is the agreement between the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the U.S. Export-Import Bank (Exim Bank). Under the agreement, Exim Bank provides loan guarantees to underwrite the risk of nonpayment of medium- and long-term loans extended by commercial banks to buyers of U.S. goods and services. This MOU signing ceremony was presided over and witnessed by H.E Pan Sorasak, the Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce. CCC’s members from various fields also attended this event. Both the U.S. and the CCC viewed this event as a good starting point to enhanced business cooperation in the future.
