DAITOH Co.,Ltd, one of Japanese companies specialized in packaging and printing materials, has a business meeting with Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) members on July 02, 2012. Mr. Nobutoshi Yamamiya, sales department manager of DAITOH, express his interest in Cambodia market. Through his own research, he found that the demand for high quality packaging material is in need. So far Cambodia imports those materials from neighbor countries. Although the price is low, the quality is not up to the standard yet. By 2015, the realization of ASEAN Economy Community (AEC) would increase the demand for high standard quality of packaging materials. In this respect, DAITOH would like to establish packaging factory as well as to supply packaging products to Cambodia market.
The business meeting also aims to understand the current situation of plastic manufacturing or packaging companies in Cambodia. In addition, DAITOH would like to obtain inputs from CCC’s members on market demand for packaging materials such as rice export.
H.E Nguong Meng Tech, director general of CCCC, welcomes DAITOH interest in Cambodia market. He said this is the right time for DAITOH to invest in Cambodia. So far we have a few plastic factories but those factories could not fulfill the market demand yet. DAITOH should take quick step to establish its factory in Cambodia. The quality of Japanese product in Cambodian perception is quite high. H.E Nguon Meng Tech introduces CCC’s members to DAITOH. CCC’s members and DAITOH share the ideas on Cambodia market and challenges face by investors of packaging related products. Some of CCC’s members suggest DAITOH to produce a high quality product but remain competitive in term of price. Rice exporters, particularly, would demand a lot of rice bag every year.
