Vietnam-Cambodia Business Matching was launched in Phnom Penh Hotel on August 05, 2010. One hundred and twelve Cambodian businessmen and one hundred Vietnamese businessmen from many sectors ranging from agricultural product, processing, and food to industry came to this event. It is noticed that trade between Cambodia and Vietnam had reached 140 million USD in 2008. It was 44% growth compared to 2007. Up to now, 63 investment projects from Vietnam have been approved by Council for Development of Cambodia (CDC), including 7 projects in 2009-2010 with the value of 400 millions USD.
The event started from 0830 to 1200. Following the opening remarks by representatives of Vietnam and Cambodia government officials and private sectors, there was Q&A session. Then businessmen explored their potential partners. Around 1200, delegations enjoyed lunch together and continue to discuss business opportunity with their partners.
