These sub-national workshops were organized in cooperation with Chambers of Commerce in each province with three main purposes:
- Informing and disseminating knowledge about the structure, functioning and advantages of the G-PSF for the cooperation and consultative process between government and private sector.
- Raising awareness and encouraging more active participation from private sector in the provinces in the national level G-PSF mechanism to improve the quality of the dialogues.
- Understanding the willingness and purpose of the government officials and businesspeople in the creation of a similar mechanism at sub-national level to strengthen cooperation and serve as regular public-private dialogue mechanism in addressing challenges of the private sector as well as improve quality of public services provision.
Representatives from public and private sector attending the workshops unanimously expressed the desire to have the public-private dialogue mechanism at the provincial level.
