H.E. Nguon Meng Tech, Director General of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, had a meeting with President of Itochu (Thailand) Ltd., on June 25, 2014 at the head office of CCC. The meeting is held to explore and ask for recommendation related business environment and opportunity in Cambodia.
In the meeting, Mr. Matsumoto expressed his interest in investment in Cambodia and briefed his company profile. He would like to learn from CCC about investment environment, labor, business transaction concerning plastic manufacturing, and other related sector.
Responding to the delegate, H.E. Nguon Meng Tech briefed him about investment environment and the roles of CCC in private sector development. Cambodia has plenty of young labor forces with a lower cost compared other countries in the region. With respect to plastic manufacturing, he encouraged the Itochu Company to establish a factory in Cambodia because local manufacturers are not able to fulfill the increased need of plastic bag for daily use, and Cambodia is rich in natural resources, particularly rubber which is planted in southern Cambodia. In this particular aspect, CCC helps to connect the delegate with its members and assist in registration process and other necessary support. H.E. added that the presence of the company in Cambodia will provide Cambodian people more jobs to support their livelihood.
Finally, H.E Nguon Meng extended his appreciation to the delegate for having interest in Cambodia business market. CCC is always welcome and gives assistance to all investors for future cooperation.
